About Sima

A Zimbabwean-Born Artist Creating from Swansea, Wales

Exploring Identity Through Colour, Movement,
and Texture

My creative journey is shaped by migration, memory, and the layered experience of navigating identity across cultures. Growing up within a rich visual and storytelling heritage continues to influence the way I approach colour, symbolism, and material.

My practice is rooted in fluid art, where movement and unpredictability mirror the evolving nature of identity and lived experience. I expand this foundation through mixed media, incorporating fabric, watercolour, spray paint, and layered textures to build depth and emotional resonance.

My work is deeply intuitive, yet anchored in themes of belonging, displacement, resilience, and transformation.
